Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney - St. Louis, MO
A respected St. Louis law firm is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate Attorney to join its dynamic litigation practice. The ideal candidate will have experience handling complex business and commercial disputes and will be comfortable managing cases through all stages of litigation. Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Admission to the Missouri Bar in good standing
- 3+ years of experience in commercial or business litigation
- Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- Experience drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
- Proven ability to manage cases independently and work collaboratively in a team environment
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills
- Experience appearing in state and federal court preferred
Responsibilities
- Represent clients in complex commercial and business litigation matters in state and federal courts
- Handle all aspects of case management, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, and hearings
- Draft pleadings, memoranda, and briefs with a high level of precision and professionalism
- Conduct legal research and develop effective litigation strategies
- Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates and strategic guidance
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on trial preparation and case strategy
- Participate in mediation, arbitration, and settlement negotiations as appropriate
