Job Description

Job DescriptionStep into a day on our Engineering Test bench

You roll into a clean, organized lab where 5S standards are second nature. After a quick safety sweep, you stage test bays for high‑power AC gear—UPS units, Static Switches, and PDUs—routing heavy gauge cabling (up to 50 lbs) and verifying interlocks. Oscilloscopes and power meters come online, and you launch into structured validation runs. You execute procedures solo, capture meticulous data, and when a waveform looks off, you trace it through the schematic and debug the AC/DC path until the signal tells the right story. Before lunch, you’ve logged results, tightened a test fixture, and shared a process tweak in the stand‑up. The afternoon brings multiphase work (120 V single‑phase and multi‑phase) and a tricky setup you resolve with calm, safe, methodical troubleshooting.

What you will do

  • Assemble and validate electrical test setups for high‑power AC products (UPS, Static Switch, PDU), following rigorous safety practices.
  • Connect and manage large conductors and assemblies, handling cables up to 50 lbs with proper techniques.
  • Operate and configure oscilloscopes and power meters to measure and analyze performance.
  • Run test procedures independently, producing thorough, accurate documentation.
  • Diagnose issues in AC and DC circuits and refine test configurations with minimal oversight.
  • Maintain an orderly, safe workspace grounded in 5S principles.
  • Join team huddles and offer ideas that improve test quality and flow.

What you bring

  • Associate of Science in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent hands-on background.
  • 2+ years working with high‑power electrical systems.
  • Practical experience across 120 V single‑phase and multi‑phase environments.
  • Ability to read and apply electrical schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting chops for AC/DC power circuits.
  • Comfort with oscilloscopes and power meters.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Clear, effective English communication—written and verbal.

Bonus points

  • Exposure to 208/230/480/600 V three‑phase systems.
  • Training in electrical safety and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Background in production test or manufacturing settings.

How you work

  • Safety first—no compromises.
  • Integrity in every action and data point.
  • Self‑driven with high personal standards.
  • Collaborative and accountable to the team.
  • Detail‑attentive, especially in measurement and records.

Physical realities

  • Lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand and walk for roughly 70% of the day.
