Telecom Tower Foreman
Job Description
Job Description
Description:
The position:
If you're an experienced telecom professional who takes pride in doing things the right way, leading a crew you can count on, and building infrastructure that matters — we'd like to hear from you.
At One Way Wireless Construction (OWWC), we're looking for a Tower Foreman who's confident in the field, strong in leadership, and comfortable taking full responsibility for the crew and the job. We value people who lead by example, communicate clearly, and care about safety as much as they care about getting the job done.
What you will be doing:
- Leading a team of 3–5 crew members on wireless infrastructure projects.
- Reading and executing construction drawings and build plans.
- Communicating clearly with project managers and your crew.
- Ensuring jobs are done safely, correctly, and on schedule.
- Handling field issues professionally and encouraging productivity throughout the week.
- Keeping the job site clean and organized, from start to finish.
- Climbing towers up to 700' and working in all weather conditions.
- Completing close-out documentation and photo records.
What we are looking for:
- 3+ years of telecom experience, with 2+ years in a foreman role.
- Strong understanding of tower rigging, equipment installs, and safety protocols.
- Proven ability to lead crews and maintain clear, effective communication.
- Comfortable with heights and outdoor work in all seasons.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
- Able to pass a DOT physical, drug test, and background check.
- Willingness to travel Monday–Friday (overnight, 75–90% of the time).
- Available to commute to our Shakopee, MN shop on Mondays and Fridays (daily if working locally).
Compensation & Benefits
- $33–$49/hour, depending on experience and skills.
- Overtime pay (1.5x) after 40 hours/week — most crews work 50–60+ hours regularly.
- $150/night per diem when 60+ miles from the shop — what you don't spend, you keep.
- 401(k) with 50% match up to 6% of your paycheck.
- Health insurance — multiple plans to fit your needs.
- Dental and vision coverage.
- Health Savings Account (HSA) and Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) options.
- Company-paid life insurance, short-term, and long-term disability coverage.
- PTO: 2 weeks/year (accrued after each paycheck).
- 7 paid holidays (flex schedule if it falls on a weekend).
- Referral bonus: Up to $1,200 for each field team member you bring on board.
