What's In Store For You
- Engagement: W2 only (no C2C/1099)
- Work Model: 100% onsite in Columbus, Indiana
- Standard business hours, 40 hours per week
- Opportunity to work directly with manufacturing suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams
- Exposure to supplier development, new product introduction, quality systems, and specialized manufacturing processes
- Approximately 15% travel
How You Will Make An Impact
- Manage supplier quality performance and drive improvements that reduce defects and protect product quality.
- Lead supplier corrective actions, including containment, root-cause analysis, corrective action, and prevention of recurrence.
- Participate in supplier evaluation, selection, development, auditing, and performance management.
- Ensure suppliers effectively apply appropriate quality tools and consistently meet technical and product requirements.
- Support new and changed products through quality planning, supplier readiness, and launch activities.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen supplier process capability and manufacturing performance.
- Apply structured problem-solving and statistical methods to identify causes, evaluate data, and implement sustainable solutions.
- Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), dimensional measurement practices, and quality-system requirements.
Are You An Experienced Supplier Quality Professional Ready To Make An Impact?
- Engineering, technical, or scientific bachelor's degree or equivalent degree required.
- Intermediate-level professional experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, quality engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience resolving supplier or manufacturing quality problems through structured root-cause analysis and corrective action.
- Working knowledge of APQP and supplier quality management practices.
- Experience assessing supplier performance, process capability, and compliance with product requirements.
- Understanding of quality-management systems and applicable industry or customer quality standards.
- Ability to interpret and apply statistical concepts to quality and manufacturing problems.
- Knowledge of dimensional metrology and inspection/measurement processes.
- Strong communication, collaboration, decision-making, and supplier-influencing skills.
- Experience with special manufacturing processes such as heat treating and coatings is strongly preferred.
