One of our companies is currently looking for a Controller in the United States.
We are seeking a highly experienced Controller to lead and scale the accounting function within a fast-growing technology company. In this critical leadership role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency while helping design the systems and processes that will take the organization from startup to maturity. You’ll collaborate across teams, drive automation, and support strategic decision-making in a high-impact environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced, high-growth settings and is passionate about building a best-in-class finance operation from the ground up.
Accountabilities:
- Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, payroll, tax compliance, and treasury.
- Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely GAAP-compliant reporting.
- Manage external audits, including preparing for and completing the company’s first audit.
- Design and implement scalable systems and tools to support a rapidly growing organization.
- Partner with FP&A and business leaders to align actual performance with forecasts and strategy.
- Hire, manage, and develop a high-performing accounting team.
- Champion best practices for financial integrity, operational efficiency, and internal controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA certification required.
- 10–15 years of experience across Big 4 public accounting and industry roles, with startup or tech experience preferred.
- Strong command of GAAP and experience with building accounting functions at scale.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and financial tech stacks; Stripe and Salesforce experience is a plus.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data for executive stakeholders.
- Proven ability to lead audits, shape policy, and implement high-quality internal controls.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
