Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Field Service Technician to service commercial laundry equipment in the field. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining washers, dryers, and payment systems across multiple customer locations while delivering excellent customer service.

This is a mobile role, requiring daily travel between job sites.


Key Responsibilities

Service & Repairs

  • Diagnose and repair commercial washers, dryers, and related laundry equipment (mechanical, electrical, and basic plumbing)
  • Perform preventative maintenance to ensure optimal machine performance and reduce downtime
  • Troubleshoot and repair payment systems, including:
    • Card systems (e.g., CVA – Coded Value Adder)
    • Kiosks and payment terminals
    • Smart laundry/payment platforms (e.g., Speed Queen Insights or similar)
  • Respond to service requests and emergency repair calls in a timely manner


Field Operations

  • Travel to multiple customer locations daily (apartment buildings, laundromats, institutions, etc.)
  • Manage service routes efficiently to maximize productivity
  • Maintain accurate service logs, reports, and parts usage records
  • Communicate job status and updates with dispatch/operations team


Customer Experience

  • Provide professional, courteous service to property managers, staff, and residents
  • Clearly explain issues and resolutions when needed
  • Represent TediMatts with a high level of professionalism in the field


Qualifications & Requirements

Required

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • 1–3+ years of hands-on technical or mechanical experience (appliance repair, HVAC, electrical, or similar)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable using basic tools, hand tools, and diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in confined or mechanical spaces

  • Experience working on commercial laundry equipment (Speed Queen or similar)
  • Experience with laundry payment systems, including:
    • CVA (Coded Value Adder)
    • KioSoft or similar kiosk systems
    • Speed Queen Insights or other smart laundry platforms
  • Basic electrical, plumbing, and networking knowledge
  • Prior field service or route-based technician experience


Work Environment & Expectations

  • Daily travel between multiple job sites (company vehicle may be provided depending on role)
  • On-call or after-hours work may be required on a rotating basis
  • Work performed in residential, commercial, and institutional laundry environments
  • Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and operational equipment
