Position Summary
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for managing and enhancing the CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, system reliability, and security of our cloud-based platforms. This role will work closely with developers, QA, and operations to streamline deployments, monitor system performance, and implement infrastructure-as-code solutions in our AWS environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline and Bitbucket
- Manage containerized applications using Docker
- Monitor and troubleshoot EC2 Linux instances running Apache Tomcat and Nginx
- Maintain and enhance staging and production environments hosted on AWS
- Set up and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., CloudFormation or Terraform)
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security across environments
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure smooth code releases
- Support logging, alerting, and performance monitoring (e.g., AWS CloudWatch, Elasticsearch)
- Implement and maintain automated backup and recovery systems
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing
- Document DevOps processes and configurations
- Support HIPAA compliance and security best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or Infrastructure Engineering
- Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, CodePipeline, Lambda, CloudWatch, SQS/SNS)
- Proficiency with Docker and Linux server administration
- Experience with Git version control and Bitbucket workflows
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices and automation tools
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and incident response
- Excellent documentation and collaboration skills
- Ability to be on-site to support production deployments
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HIPAA-compliant environments
- Familiarity with Java Spring Boot, MySQL, and Postman for backend integration testing
- Experience with Apache JMeter for load testing
- Knowledge of Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools
- Familiarity with ClickUp for task tracking and documentation
Work Location:
This position requires daily on-site attendance. Candidates must be able to work in person every day at one of the following office locations:
