Litigation Legal Secretary – Civil Litigation
Location: Rockford, IL
Pay: $60,000 - $90,000, based on experience
A respected national law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join their team in Rockford, Illinois. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a legal professional with a strong background in civil litigation who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Support attorneys through all stages of litigation

Draft, format, and e-file legal documents in both state and federal courts

Manage court deadlines, attorney calendars, and hearing schedules

Maintain and organize legal files, both electronic and hard copy

Assist with trial prep including creation of exhibits and trial binders

Interact with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional manner
Requirements:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant in civil litigation

Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court filing systems

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management software

Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and multitasking ability
