We are looking for a Parts Counter & Warehouse Professional with the computer aptitude and mechanical curiosity to navigate complex electronic catalogs and manage our extensive inventory. From quoting high-stakes jobs for our shop technicians to ensuring our warehouse operates with precision, you will be the backbone of our 'River to Road' service commitment. Responsibilities:
- Utilize electronic catalogs, parts/unit reference books and internal computer system to resource information.
- Process orders, billing, credit returns, cores, and transaction reconciliation.
- Problem Solving
- Answer phone calls from service shops and customers delivering outstanding customer service.
- Sell parts and accessories to customers and communicate order status.
- Quote jobs and order parts for union technicians in our service department.
- Accurately look up part numbers.
- Process payments cashiered in the Parts Department.
- Unload trucks, verifying incoming deliveries against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and reporting any discrepancies.
- Picking and packing customer orders based on pick tickets, ensuring correct quantities and items are included.
- Maintain detailed records of incoming and outgoing shipments, including date, quantities, and tracking numbers and freight charges
- Maintain friendly interactions and a high level of professionalism with our customers and employees.
- Operating forklifts to move pallets and heavy items within the warehouse.
- Accurately recording received items in inventory management systems, sorting goods in designated locations, and maintaining stock levels and immediately notify supervisory and management staff of any discrepancies. Maintain an accurate count of all inventories and perform cyclical counts as needed.
