LHH is partnering with a boutique law firm in Chicago to hire a Part-Time Litigation Legal Assistant on a temp-to-hire basis. This is an onsite role ideal for a detail-oriented legal professional with hands-on litigation and e-filing experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys
- Draft, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
- Perform electronic court filings at both the state and federal levels
- Assist with case management and deadline tracking
- Manage calendars, schedules, and litigation deadlines
- Maintain and organize case files (electronic and paper)
- Communicate with courts, clients, and opposing counsel as needed
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary
- Required: E-filing experience at both the state and federal court level
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court rules
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; legal software experience a plus
- Ability to work onsite and maintain confidentiality

- Pay: $20-$30, based on experience
