Overview:
The Logistics Coordinator performs a variety of shipping and receiving tasks. Verifying materials received are as ordered and routes incoming items to appropriate locations. Prepares items for shipment ensuring accuracy of the information submitted to warehouse staff. Leads the work of shipping and receiving personnel performing related work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Reconciles carrier paperwork with customer purchase orders through receiving records and update customers if there are any discrepancies in the order.
· Prepares pull tickets, checks items to be shipped against customer orders to determine if product and quantities are accurate and complete.
· Communicate with the warehouse staff any special instructions regarding outbound orders
· Maintains product status reports provided to us by our customers
· Assists internal customers with any new product related issues
· Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives
· Maintain the Shipping & Receiving control programs (IQ & S: Drive).
· Investigate and resolve any significant discrepancies.
· Sends out storage orders to clients on a monthly basis
· Run scheduled reports and submit to Leadership.
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or GED
· Bachelor’s degree in Materials Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or closely related field, preferred.
· 1- 3 years of experience in inventory control or materials management are required.
· Detail Oriented and highly organized
· Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
· Proficiency in the following programs required:
o Microsoft Office
o Google Drive
o Smartsheet
o SnapTracker
o IQ Software
Physical Demands:
Ability to communicate orally with customers, vendors, management, and coworkers is crucial. Regular use of phone and email for communication is essential. Hearing and vision correctable to within normal ranges are essential for normal conversations, receiving ordinary information, and preparing or inspecting documents.
The ability to remain in a stationary position roughly 50% of the time, as well as the ability to move about the office and warehouse occasionally (accessing files/storage, office equipment, computers and other office productivity devices, attending meetings, etc.), is required. Using a computer while sitting for extended periods is common.
Good manual dexterity required to use common office equipment (e.g., computers, mobile devices, calculators, copiers, scanners).
Work Environment:
The job is performed indoors in a traditional warehouse setting. Extended periods of sitting while using a computer or other devices are common. There are routine discomforts from extreme to moderate heat, cold, moisture/wetness and unpleasant air conditions. The position may involve routine exposure to light chemical substances such as cleaning solutions.
