Job Description

A Raleigh (North Carolina) based law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with experience in Medical Malpractice, Long-Term Care, and Healthcare matters to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of relevant litigation experience, maintain strong client relationships, handle sensitive matters with discretion, and thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.


The firm’s healthcare and long-term care practice represents a broad range of clients, including hospitals, physician groups, long-term care facilities, nursing homes, medical staffing organizations, technology providers, and other healthcare institutions. Its attorneys also defend physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals in medical malpractice, long-term care, professional negligence, credentialing, and licensing matters in both federal and state courts across the country.


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct case analysis and develop strategic approaches
  • Prepare and respond to discovery requests
  • Take and defend depositions, draft motions, and attend hearings
  • Advise clients on legal options and potential outcomes
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing


Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active membership in good standing with the North Carolina
  • Minimum of two years of medical malpractice, long-term care, or healthcare litigation experience
  • Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, manage cases independently, and achieve goals
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and professional
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Outlook; experience with iManage or OneDrive a plus
