As a System Support Technician, you will build and test custom broadcast systems tailored to the unique needs of our clients. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring these systems meet rigorous operational and quality standards, working closely with operations and internal teams throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and test specialist live broadcasting flypack systems for field deployment.

  • Ensure all system builds are properly and neatly assembled, programmed, and tested according to established procedures.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues during build, testing, and deployment phases.

  • Performs various tests and evaluations of individual equipment and complete systems to verify functions and compatibility as required. Provides detailed documentation of all steps and results taken during this process.

  • Maintain accurate documentation for system designs, build procedures, and support processes.

  • Collaborate with Operations teams to understand and translate technical requirements into functional systems.

  • Update and verify equipment lists, ensuring all components are accounted for prior to deployment.

  • Coordinate with internal teams (Logistics, Inventory Control, Engineering) to gather all necessary assets.

  • Attend team meetings and collaborate with Service Delivery staff on daily priorities and process improvements.

  • Support field operations with remote or on-site technical assistance during system deployments. May include weekends on call support.

  • Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe working environment always.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or Technical Certification in Electronics preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience in broadcast engineering or remote television production preferred.

  • Understanding of analog/digital signal flow, RF systems, A/V equipment, and fiber optic cabling.

  • Skilled in troubleshooting electronics and system integration.

  • Proficient with Windows and macOS platforms, IP networking, and common broadcast technologies (VPN, VLAN, AoIP).

  • Excellent communication skills; able to interact professionally with both internal teams and field technicians.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality and precision.

  • Team-oriented mindset with a strong work ethic and willingness to support peers.

  • Limited travel may be required.
