Position

As Advancement Database Manager you will have the extraordinary opportunity to work with approximately 530 exceptional, gifted young men, talented faculty, and committed staff. Located in New York City, Regis High School is a Catholic, Jesuit, college preparatory school and the only Jesuit, full-scholarship high school in the country. The school was founded in 1914 through the extraordinary generosity of an anonymous woman and her family. Regis now relies on philanthropy of alumni, parents, and friends as it most significant source of financial support. Position Summary

Regis High School seeks a passionate, mission-driven, and talented individual to play an important role on its Advancement team. The Advancement Database Manager will report to the Associate Director for Annual Giving and will also work closely with the Vice President of Advancement, Advancement staff, and the Finance team. This individual plays a critical role in organizing the data and reporting of the Advancement Office, maintaining clean and living records of the alumni, families, and friends of the school.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage the day-to-day operations of the Advancement Office constituent database, Raiser's Edge NXT (both database and web platform views), while enhancing accuracy and integrity.
  • Manage all aspects of gift processing, including accurate donation entry.
  • Recommend and maintain Raiser's Edge database standards, develop an institutional standards guide, maintain database policies and procedures; create reports and queries to ensure accurate donor data.
  • Assist with the preparation of data for the Annual Report, under the supervision of the Associate Director for Annual Giving.
  • Work closely with Finance staff to ensure accurate reconciliation and reporting.
  • Work closely with the IT team to coordinate optimal use of Raiser’s Edge NXT, and related database resources.
  • Lead the generation of invitation and mailing lists for the Advancement team and President’s Office, review of donors’ records, and creation of donor segmentation for solicitation purposes.
  • Manage annual updates to Raiser’s Edge including Alumni, incoming students, incoming parents, and current parents.
  • Collaborate with Advancement Coordinator and Associate Director for Annual Giving in reviewing quality of donor data and generating reports to support and analyze fundraising efforts.
  • Provide expertise and technical support to end-users on Raiser's Edge NXT issues; identify, research, and resolve technical problems, and work with outside vendors/technical support as needed.
  • Process revenue raised on a third party giving platform for Giving Tuesday, Auction Challenge, Young Alumni Challenge, and Giving Weekend.
  • Train staff as necessary on relevant database skills and processes and update them as procedures change or develop.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Associate Director for Annual Giving and/or the Vice President for Advancement.
  • Supports and is willing to advance the Catholic and Jesuit mission of the school
  • And any other job responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Immediate expert with solid Raiser’s Edge/NXT database experience.
  • Exemplary attention to detail.
  • Skilled with Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and project management software such as Basecamp.
  • Understanding of and a passion for Regis’s mission of educating young men in the tradition of the Society of Jesus including a respect for and understanding of Regis’s Jesuit and Catholic culture.
  • A self-starter with the ability to initiate and follow through on new programs and projects both alone and as part of a team that generates revenue and goodwill in order to achieve strategic and organizational goals.
  • A team player with the ability to lead and contribute to Advancement Office projects, including coordinating with colleagues to achieve desired outcomes, prioritizing short- and long-term tasks, and tracking and reporting on progress to goals.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong social and customer service skills, with an eagerness to problem-solve, as well as comfort with networking and forward-facing donor relations.
  • Some evenings and weekends are required for this position.

Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree is required. A degree in business, communications, liberal arts, non-profit management, or other related field is preferred. Evidence of continuing professional education through conferences, seminars, or professional associations is preferred. A minimum of 3-5 years of Raiser’s Edge/NXT database experience.

Status

This is a full-time, on campus role, that requires evening and weekend availability.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range is $75,000-85,000k +, commensurate with years of experience and level of success in the institutional advancement area, eligible for most benefits immediately. Participation in the 403 (b) begins after one year of employment.
