Location: New York, NY (On-site)

Salary: $215,000 - $415,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be a critical member of the firm's core litigation team, charged with the judicious and strategic management of complex, multi-jurisdictional commercial disputes. This role involves extensive engagement in all phases of the litigation lifecycle, from initial case assessment and pre-litigation counseling through trial.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing formidable litigation strategies for complex financial, commercial, and contractual claims.
  • Leading large-scale and sophisticated discovery efforts, including e-discovery management and deposition preparation.
  • Drafting, arguing, and securing positive outcomes on critical motion practice, including dispositive motions and preliminary injunctions.
  • Providing strategic counsel to an elite roster of clients, which includes Fortune 500 corporations, financial institutions, and prominent business principals.
  • Working closely with partners on matters that intersect with bankruptcy/insolvency proceedings and large-scale real estate disputes.
  • Mentoring junior associates and leveraging advanced legal technology to enhance the efficacy of the firm's litigation support.


Qualifications:

  • The Firm actively recruits highly skilled and credentialed team members share in their dynamic approach to practicing law
  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from a top-rated ABA-accredited Law School.
  • Preferably experience with federal clerkship or other law clerk positions gaining court room experience.
  • Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of focused post-J.D. experience in high-value commercial litigation and business disputes.
  • Demonstrable expertise in drafting complex pleadings, managing document production, and engaging in substantive motion practice.


Preferred Skills:

  • Superior academic credentials, including Law Review or a comparable distinguished scholastic record.
  • A background demonstrating experience in Federal Court practice, particularly in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
  • Specialized experience or an advanced understanding of matters related to financial restructuring, insolvency law, or complex real property litigation.
  • Exceptional ability to synthesize voluminous information and distill it into clear, persuasive legal arguments.
