About the Role:
The Child Care Worker plays a vital role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. This position is focused on supporting the physical, emotional, and social development of children by providing attentive care and age-appropriate activities. The Child Care Worker collaborates with parents, guardians, and childcare staff to ensure each child's individual needs are met and that their well-being is prioritized. Through observation and interaction, the worker identifies developmental milestones and any concerns, facilitating early intervention when necessary. Ultimately, this role contributes to laying a strong foundation for children's lifelong learning and healthy growth within a supportive community environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 16 years of age
- Certification in CPR and First Aid for infants and children- will provide training if not certified
- Experience working with children in a professional or volunteer capacity.
- Knowledge of child development principles and age-appropriate practices.
- Ability to pass background checks and comply with state and federal child care regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and monitor the safety and well-being of children at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and recreational activities that promote development.
- Assist children with daily routines such as eating, dressing, and hygiene.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Observe and document children's behavior and developmental progress to support individualized care.
- Collaborate with other child care staff and professionals to create a cohesive care plan.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies or behavioral issues.
