Who you are:

We are seeking a skilled Information Technology (IT) Systems Specialist for a Full Time role. As a member of the IT team, the IT Systems Specialist provides technical assistance, guidance and support for the employees of MACT Health Board Inc. The IT Systems Specialist will:

  • Ensure that all back-end software and hardware components remain up-to-date, secure, and functional including managing Active Directory, Domain Name Systems (DNS), Windows Servers, Network Layouts and Printing Solutions
  • Assist and provide support to the department’s Help Desk, Network, and IT Specialists including troubleshooting technical issues, assisting with the installation of healthcare related equipment, deployment of workstations and implementation of new hardware
  • Manage and maintain systems that include Windows Server features and roles to ensure seamless user authentication and system operations
  • Assist in the monitoring and management of system updates, patches, and configurations to maintain compliance with healthcare industry standards and best practices
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to systems, their responsibilities, and troubleshooting recommendations
  • Assist in identifying security vulnerabilities and provide recommendations to safeguard sensitive healthcare data
  • Assist the IT Director in planning and executing IT infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and new implementations
  • Evaluate new technologies, software, and hardware to enhance day to day operations of the organization
  • Work on interoperability between different healthcare IT systems, ensuring smooth communication and data flow between various services

What you need:

  • Technical Certification or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 3+ years of experience in an IT systems administration or specialist role, preferably in a healthcare environment
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Windows Server environments, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and Domain Controller management
  • Experience with networking concepts, LAN/WAN infrastructure, and security best practices
  • Prior exposure to healthcare IT systems, EHRs (Electronic Health Records), and HIPAA compliance is a plus
  • Proficiency in Windows Server Administration, virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V), and on-premise software solutions
  • Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting, firewalls, switches, and routing
  • Must pass Occupational Health Screening.
  • Must possess a valid form of identification as listed on the U.S. Department of Justice I-9 form, verified using the E Verify system.
  • Clean DMV driving record and MACT auto insurance driving eligibility (determined by auto insurance carrier).

The position requires an awareness and keen appreciation of American Indian traditions, customs, and socioeconomic needs and the ability at all times to meet and deal effectively in contacts with Indian health organizations which requires tact, courtesy, discretion, resourcefulness and good judgment in handling functions of a sensitive nature.
