???? Location: White Sands Missile Range (WSMR)
???? Pay Rate: $17.75 per hour
???? Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (hours may vary depending on season)
Do you enjoy working outdoors, taking pride in a well-maintained landscape, and being part of a hardworking team? We’re looking for a Grounds Maintenance Worker who is ready to help keep the grounds at White Sands Missile Range looking professional, safe, and well-maintained.
???? Position Summary
Under supervision, the Grounds Maintenance Worker performs a variety of tasks to meet the grounds maintenance schedule at WSMR. This role helps maintain outdoor spaces that are clean, safe, and visually appealing year-round.
???? What You’ll Do
Your daily work will help keep the grounds looking their best. Duties include:

Mowing all improved grounds to maintain a well-manicured appearance

Edging sidewalks, driveways, curbs, and street edges
-
Trimming areas not accessible to mowers
-
Removing debris including litter and natural materials
-
Conducting regular grounds patrol to maintain a neat and professional environment

Maintaining desert landscaping areas
-
Providing weed control across maintained areas
-
Operating tractors, mowers, and irrigation systems
-
Completing special projects assigned by the supervisor
???? Qualifications
Education
-
High School Diploma or GED
Experience
-
Minimum 3 years of experience in grounds maintenance
-
Experience with irrigation systems, tractors, and mowing equipment
License
-
Valid Driver’s License (driving may be required)
???? Background & Screening Requirements
Selected candidates must successfully complete:

Office of Inspector General / CMMS Exclusions Check

Driving Record (MVR) Review
-
Office of Personnel Management / Federal Investigative Services Security Clearance Review
