Pay Range: $70,000 - $80,000

Position Summary:

Sherry's Handbags, a thriving and fashion-forward company, is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. As an integral part of our organization, you will oversee a variety of accounting functions, including sales tax preparation, payroll, accounts payable, and tax compliance for S corp and LLC entities. With a strong understanding of tax codes and a demonstrated ability to leverage QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, you will contribute your expertise to drive our continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements, sales tax returns, and other financial reports with precision.
• Manage payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Handle accounts payable, processing invoices, and managing vendor relationships effectively.
• Provide tax planning advice and ensure compliance with S corp and LLC tax regulations.
• Collaborate with management to analyze financial data and provide strategic insights for growth.
• Maintain accurate financial records and organize documentation for easy retrieval.
• Stay current with accounting regulations and industry developments.
• Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel to perform accounting tasks efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a retail or fashion industry.
• Strong knowledge of tax codes, regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to navigate advanced functions.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Schedule:

• Flexible full-time and part-time options available (1099)
