Job Description

As a Security Guard - Unarmed Patrol Rover in Culver City, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and professional customer service, and document observations. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts and/or requesting assistance from clinical staff, site leadership, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Monitor access points, assist with visitor direction and/or wayfinding, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns through the proper reporting channels.
  • Complete detailed shift activity logs and incident reports, communicate observations during shift transitions, and support investigations by preserving observations and available video or access control information.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.
  • Have at least 2 years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
  • Have a guard card and/or license preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
