The appointed Quality Assurance Analyst will play a crucial role in monitoring and evaluating the various stages of project development to detect and rectify errors, ensuring that final outputs align with client specifications and industry standards. This role is not only fundamental in maintaining our quality benchmarks but is also key in enhancing client satisfaction and trust, reinforcing River West Homes as a leader in quality residential construction.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and implement test plans, scenarios, scripts, or procedures to ensure quality control throughout the architectural and construction phases.
- Identify, document, and report bugs, errors, and inconsistencies in project specifications, outputs, and processes.
- Work closely with development teams to understand project scope and objectives, ensure timely execution of milestones, and promote the highest standards of quality assurance.
- Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
- Review product design documentation to ensure that requirements stated are correct, unambiguous, and verifiable.
- Consult with product development to evaluate system interfaces, operational requirements, and performance requirements of overall system.
- Recommend design improvements or corrections to engineers throughout the development process.
- Maintain effective communication with team members and other stakeholders throughout project processes to ensure alignment with quality standards.
- Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
- Monitor program performance after implementation to prevent reoccurrence of program operating problems and ensure efficiency of operation.
- Formulate or assist in formulating quality assurance policies and procedures and ensure compliance among the team.
- Conduct compatibility tests with other software programs, hardware, multiple operating systems, and network environments.
- Create and maintain databases of known test defects and document test progress and results.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in quality assurance, specifically within the construction or architecture industries.
- Deep understanding of the methodologies and processes involved in quality assurance and standards compliance in architecture and residential construction.
- Proven ability in crafting clear and concise documentation, including test plans, test scripts, and bug reports.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams and managing multiple stakeholder expectations.
- Proficiency in using QA software tools and processes.
- Attention to detail and a results-driven approach.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of coding languages (Java, Python) and frameworks/systems (e.g., AngularJS, Git) is desirable.
- Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.
