We are looking for a Paralegal or Legal Assistant who has experience in Estate Planning, Trust Administration, and Probate matters to join our team. You must be a detail-oriented person. Because we are a small office, you will be doing a little bit of everything - drafting Estate Planning documents, running Trust Administrations, drafting Petitions for Probate and subsequent filings, coordinating business development and education activities, answering phone calls and emails, scanning documents, preparing formal and informal accountings, and more.
Compensation:
$30.45 - $36.67 yearly
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to draft Estate Planning documents according to instructions
- Must be able to do Trust Administration tasks, including but not limited to Notifications by Trustee, Notices of Proposed Action, Accounting, Affidavits, and Deeds
- Must be able to draft and file Court Petitions for Probate or Trust matters according to instructions
- Must be able to create and edit legal documents and complex spreadsheets
- Familiarity with Judicial Council Forms
Qualifications:
- For Paralegals: Paralegal Certificate and applicable MCLE
- Extreme Attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills — this requirement is very important to us
- 5 plus years of work experience in Estate Planning, Trust Administration, and Probate
- Knowledge of San Diego Rules of Court and CA Civil Procedure
- Thorough experience with WordPerfect and Excel
- Punctuality in both work attendance and work product
- Positive attitude and willingness to assist with a variety of tasks
