Starting Wage: $30 DOE

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Establishes preventative maintenance schedules
  • Keeps accurate records of maintenance performed
  • Organizes and facilitates monthly Safety meetings in accordance with OSHA regulations
  • Conduct routine tests of various systems and equipment such as the emergency generator, fire alarm, sprinkler system, hood and duct system, door alarms, nursing call system, and hot water system
  • Maintains and updates Maintenance Survey Binder for annual Life Safety Survey
  • Knowledgeable of Life Safety Code and CMS Environmental regulations
  • Lifts and moves equipment, supplies, and furnishings as required
  • Checks quality of workmanship done by contractors
  • Obtains bids for facility repairs
  • Purchases supplies and equipment using center procedures and within budgetary constraints
  • Collaborates and coordinates with facility Administrator on all repairs, projects, and updates
  • Follows and completes all TELS tasks and work orders
  • *May be on call for emergencies 24 hours a day, works overtimes, holiday and weekend hours as necessary

Additional Duties

  • Attend all IDT meetings as necessary
  • Complete trainings as needed

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in long term care facility preferred
  • Experience with and/or knowledge of light carpentry, plumbing, and HVAC systems preferred
  • Strong initiative to perform all tasks above expectation
  • Ability to speak, understand, read and write in English
