Chipton-Ross is hiring Fill and Pouch Operators for a 12‑month assignment with potential for temp‑to‑perm conversion in Marion, NC. You’ll help produce flexible containers that carry solutions and premixed drugs, working across multiple stations in a cGMP production environment.
Compensation & Shifts
- 1st Shift: $17.50/hr
- 2nd Shift: $19.00/hr
- 3rd Shift: $19.00/hr
A Day in the Life
Your shift starts with a workstation check and a quick review of SOPs. You’ll rotate through key production steps to keep output on pace with demand:
- Fill, assemble, and plug flexible bags with solutions or premixed drugs to meet production targets.
- Overpouch and seal bags, ensuring seals are secure and meet standards.
- Inspect printed bags, filled bags, and overpouch components for quality compliance.
- Print labels and barcodes on containers using a computerized printer.
- Keep printers running by changing foil and ribbon and making minor adjustments.
- Stock filling stations with printed bags and required materials.
- Address any previously identified overpouch seal or packaging concerns.
- Complete scheduled quality checks using gauges and a scale.
- Perform and document scheduled cleaning activities.
- Alert your supervisor and act promptly if any safety, quality, mechanical, or discrepancy issues arise.
- Apply rigorous SOPs, cGMP, and quality standards in every step.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workspace using 6S principles.
What You Bring
- At least 18 years old.
- Basic English communication skills (spoken and written) to collaborate with teammates.
- Ability to understand verbal/written safety and quality instructions and read work instructions with words and drawings.
- Comfort with basic mathematics.
Education
- Accredited High School Diploma or GED.
