Overview

N2IA requires a Test and Evaluation (T&E) Support Specialist to assist the government's T&E team. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and successful deployment of the NBIS enterprise system. The team is currently undergoing a transition with the implementation of the new Tricentis-based Enterprise Test environment, which will shift the team's focus from primarily coordination and facilitation to also include direct management of Government Acceptance Testing (GAT) testers.
The ideal candidate will be a highly organized and proactive individual with a strong background in government software testing. They will be responsible for a range of activities from coordinating test events to managing testers and ensuring that robust testing processes are followed across the program. This role will be integral in maintaining the high standards of our testing efforts during a period of team transition and technological evolution.

Key Responsibilities

Test Coordination and Facilitation

  • Facilitate and coordinate all aspects of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Government Acceptance Testing (GAT) events. This includes scheduling, stakeholder communication, and ensuring all prerequisites for testing are met.
  • Host sessions with testers and product officers to obtain alignment on how to properly handle observations, defects, new features, and release scope adjustments.
  • Actively participate in daily standup team sessions by providing testing expertise, guidance and expectations.

Tester Management

  • Manage the day-to-day activities of GAT testers. This includes assigning tasks, monitoring progress and providing guidance and support to the testing team.

Process Communication and Enforcement

  • Clearly communicate testing processes and procedures to all relevant stakeholders, including development teams and testers.
  • Ensure that established processes, such as dev/unit, manual regression, automated regression, integration, and smoke, and government acceptance testing, are defined and consistently followed.

Reporting and Documentation

  • Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test summary reports.
  • Document and update testing status and resolutions throughout the testing lifecycle (JIRA).
  • Provide regular updates on testing progress, risks, and issues to leadership.

Tooling and Environment Support

  • Assist in the adoption and utilization of the new NBIS Enterprise Test environment and the testing tool (Tricentis).
  • Provide support to teams to ensure they can effectively use the new tools and environment.
  • Utilize custom testing processes and tools to track and support external testing events.

Stakeholder Liaison

  • Act as a key liaison between the T&E team, development contractors, and government stakeholders to ensure alignment and clear communication.
  • Partner with government stakeholders with defining and delivering of acceptance criterion.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in software test and evaluation, preferably within a DoD or federal government environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating, facilitating, and managing both User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Government Acceptance Testing (GAT).
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multi-contractor and government team environment.
  • Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle and the role of testing within it.
  • Experience in enforcing testing processes, including regression testing, within development teams.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a SECRET security clearance.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with Tricentis test management and automation tools (e.g., Tricentis qTest, Tosca and Neoload).
  • Prior experience with the National Background Investigation System (NBIS) or other personnel security systems.
  • Experience in a leadership or management role, specifically managing testers or a test team.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies and how testing is integrated into these frameworks.
