We are looking for a dedicated Bilingual Spanish Front Desk Coordinator to join our team at one of our high schools in Oakland, California. In this long-term contract position, you will serve as the first point of contact, ensuring smooth communication and attentive interactions with students, staff, and visitors. Your role will be vital in maintaining a welcoming and efficient front office environment.


Contract Position-through end of year


Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist students, staff, and visitors in an attentive and friendly manner.

• Manage inbound calls using a multi-line phone system, ensuring prompt and accurate responses.

• Coordinate front desk operations, including managing schedules and handling inquiries.

• Provide concierge services to address specific needs and support the school community.

• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception area.

• Handle switchboard operations efficiently, managing calls across 1-10 lines.

• Support administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and record keeping.

• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.

• Communicate effectively with internal departments to relay messages and updates.

• Uphold security protocols by screening visitors and verifying identification.

• Proven experience in receptionist or front desk roles, preferably in an educational setting.

• Proficiency in operating multi-line phone systems and switchboards.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a detail-oriented approach.

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with basic administrative functions, including filing and data entry.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to handle inquiries effectively.

• High school diploma or equivalent education required.
