Must have day, evening, and weekend availability

As a Rawlings Team Leader you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of products from gloves, bats, training equipment and apparel.

General Overview: The Team Leader will assist Assistant Store Managers with the overall management of the store, handling any store associate, customer, or operational challenges that may arise. The person in this role will be responsible for a variety of duties that pertain to creating an inspirational, fun, and engaging experience for customers and fellow coworkers and embracing the Rawlings Experience team culture. The ideal candidate will be able to acquire thorough knowledge of the Rawlings’ products and pass that knowledge to Sales Associates and customers along with a great deal of enthusiasm.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Carries keys and alarm code; opens and closes store.
• Coaches and co-leads Sales Associates with other Team Leads, and store management.
• Performs and supervises daily procedures; manages bank deposits.
• Ensures compliance to all guidelines involved with safety, loss prevention, and cash handling procedures.
• Lead by example while providing exceptional customer service.
• Assists customers and Sales Associates in navigating challenges while finding positive solutions.
• Demonstrates a passion to sell and add value to the customer buying experience.
• Actively and constructively participate in the continual improvement of the Rawlings Experience Center Store.
• Uses different selling techniques and presentation methods to assist customers with product selection.
• Thorough understanding of product knowledge and merchandising best practices, including pricing structures, styles, colors, product history, etc.
• Continual development of people leadership skills with support from store management.
• Provides accurate information regarding product features and benefits.
• Drives profitable growth and achieves individual and department goals.
• Monitors, maintains, and improves upon all merchandising and stock room solutions.
• Maintain all areas of the store, including all non-selling areas- are neat, tidy, and organized.
• Operates cash register.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Education Required:

• Two years retail sales leadership and/or customer service experience preferred.
• High school diploma required.
• Team oriented and collaborative approach.
• Curiosity and opportunity when encountering challenges.
• Professional and outgoing personality
• Thorough understanding and passion for baseball, softball and all related equipment strongly preferred.
• Able to accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Available days, nights, weekends, and holidays

Working Conditions: General retail store environment. Ability to stand for long periods of time and use staircase very frequently. The employee will occasionally lift, push, and/or move objects weighing 30-50 pounds.
