Senior Family Law Paralegal (High-Level Case Management Role)


This Is Not a Basic Support Role — It’s a High-Level Case Management Role


Costa & Associates is a boutique, growing family law firm in Miami Lakes seeking a high-level paralegal who can independently manage the day-to-day progression of cases from start to finish under attorney supervision.


This role is best suited for someone who:

  • \tHas significant experience handling Florida family law matters
  • \tCan proactively move cases forward without constant direction

  • \tUnderstands how to support attorneys by keeping cases fully prepared and on track

Responsibilities -


What You’ll Do

  • \tManage the day-to-day progression of a caseload of Florida family law matters under attorney

supervision (divorce, paternity, support, modifications, enforcement)

  • \tTrack and ensure all deadlines, filings, disclosures, and hearings are met
  • \tDraft and finalize pleadings, motions, parenting plans, and settlement agreements for attorney

review

  • \tAnalyze and reconcile financial documents (bank statements, tax returns, paystubs, etc.) against

financial affidavits

  • \tCommunicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and courts as appropriate
  • \tMaintain highly organized, complete, and court-ready files
  • \tAnticipate needs, identify issues, and proactively keep matters moving forward


Work Environment

  • \tFull-time, in-person role in Miami Lakes
  • \tMonday–Friday: Typical working schedule
  • \tProfessional, team-oriented environment focused on quality and accountability


Qualifications -


What You Bring

  • \tProven experience handling Florida family law cases with a high level of independence
  • \tStrong knowledge of Florida family law procedures, filings, and court systems
  • \tExceptional attention to detail and organization
  • \tAbility to work with minimal oversight while maintaining strong communication with attorneys
  • \tProfessional judgment, initiative, and follow-through
  • \tBilingual (English/Spanish) Preferred


Compensation & Benefits

  • \tBase Salary: $65,000 – $90,000 (based on experience and capability)
  • \tPerformance Bonuses: Based on effectiveness, organization, and overall contribution
  • \tPaid Time Off: After 120 days
  • \t8 paid firm holidays
  • \t8 paid vacation days annually, with partial availability during the first year & an additional day added

yearly thereafter
