Legal Coordinator – Litigation Practice
$70,000–$85,000 base salary + generous benefits + performance bonus
Location: Chicago, IL | Hybrid schedule
A forward-thinking law firm is seeking a Legal Coordinator to join its Litigation Practice Group. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented legal environment and is eager to support attorneys with a mix of administrative, calendaring, and litigation logistics.
This role is hybrid, with a mix of in-office and remote work. Candidates should have at least five years of experience in a similar legal administrative role and strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and redlining documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, revise, and proofread correspondence and legal documents
- Maintain organized electronic case files and calendars for attorneys
- Schedule court hearings, depositions, and meetings
- Coordinate trial logistics, including binder prep and courtroom materials
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Process expense reimbursements, invoices, and travel arrangements
- Assist with PowerPoint presentations and special projects
Ideal Background:
- 5+ years in a legal administrative support role, preferably within litigation
- Strong communication, proofreading, and organization skills
- Proficiency with MS Office (especially Outlook and Word)
- Ability to manage deadlines and shifting priorities with minimal supervision
Compensation & Benefits:
