Morgan Construction Management (MCM) provides exceptional consulting services to our clients in various markets that comprise of government, transportation, educational and religious institutions, housing and commercial. Since 2011, MCM serves its clients in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Delaware, Washington DC, and Maryland. MCM manages all phases of projects from programming to implementation and from pre-construction to post construction.

Job Overview

MCM is seeking a Project Administrator to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of administrative functions within construction projects and MCM offices. This position is responsible for managing documentation, coordinating communication between various stakeholders, and supporting project managers and teams to meet deadlines and regulatory requirements. The role demands meticulous attention to detail to maintain accurate records of contracts, permits, schedules, and financial transactions. Additionally, the Project Administrator facilitates the flow of information, enabling timely decision-making and resource allocation. This position contributes significantly to the overall success and compliance of construction projects by providing essential administrative support and organizational expertise.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a certificate or diploma in office administration or related field is preferred.
  • At least 2 years of administrative experience, preferably within the construction or related industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with project management software.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in business administration, construction management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with construction-specific software such as Procore, e-Builder, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of construction industry regulations, safety standards, and permitting processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and liaise with diverse stakeholders.
  • Certification in project management or administrative professional credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and organize project documentation including contracts, permits, invoices, and correspondence to ensure accessibility and compliance.
  • Coordinate communication between project managers, contractors, architects, engineers, and clients to facilitate smooth project execution.
  • Maintain and update project schedules, track milestones, and assist in preparing progress reports and presentations.
  • Provide financial administration support by processing expense reports, and assisting with budget tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations by maintaining accurate records and assisting with audits.
  • Provide general office support including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and handling inquiries related to construction projects.
  • Distribute and maintain requests for information (RFI’s), project submittals, meeting minutes, project documents and change orders/potential change orders.

Skills

  • Ability to multi-task on a variety of projects to strict time scales. 

  • Ensure that all records are accurate and accessible for project teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20-30 per week
