You’ll teach and inspire a caseload of 15-18 students, fostering growth and independence in a specialized learning environment.
Your schedule will be Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 3:30pm during the academic year, providing up to 40 hours weekly. The assignment runs from August 13, 2026, through June 3, 2027, offering you stability and the chance to build meaningful connections with your students.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Adapted Curriculum License required
- Prior experience working with students on the autism spectrum strongly preferred
- Ability to modify and adapt lessons for diverse learning needs
- Solid classroom management skills with a caring and patient demeanor
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities with support staff and families
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with student goals
- Deliver specialized instruction following extended content standards
- Utilize adaptive and assistive technologies as needed
- Track and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
- Foster a supportive, structured environment that promotes social and academic growth
- Collaborate with families, therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive support
