Overview
CTG is seeking to fill an Enterprise Data Architect position for our client.
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 5 months
Duties:
- Lead the architecture and design of enterprise-scale data platforms that support secure, scalable, and high-performance data solutions.
- Define enterprise data architecture standards, data models, and governance frameworks.
- Collaborate with business, engineering, and technology teams to develop modern data platform strategies and integration solutions.
- Design scalable data ingestion, transformation, storage, metadata management, and data consumption architectures.
- Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative enterprise data solutions.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security, governance, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop architecture documentation, roadmaps, and best practices for enterprise data management.
Skills:

- Strong knowledge of cloud-based data platforms, data lakes, data warehouses, and distributed data architectures.
- Experience with data modeling, metadata management, data governance, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Project Nessie or equivalent transactional catalog tooling for Apache Iceberg.
- Knowledge of medical imaging (DICOM), multi-modal clinical data integration, omics, or real-world data.
- Familiarity with FAIR data principles for life sciences data platforms.
- Experience with Apache Airflow, Temporal, or similar workflow orchestration platforms.
- Previous experience delivering fixed-fee, milestone-based projects within regulated enterprise environments.
Experience:
- 10+ years of enterprise data architecture and data engineering experience.
- Proven success designing and implementing enterprise-scale data platforms.
- Experience establishing enterprise architecture standards and governance practices.
- Strong background collaborating with cross-functional technical and business teams.
- Healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industry experience is highly desirable.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Master's degree preferred.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
