Role snapshot
As the Lead BWR Accident Analysis Engineer, you’ll report to the Manager, BWR Safety & Analysis and provide technical leadership on design basis evaluations—especially LOCA—using proprietary system codes and rigorous thermal‑hydraulic methods.
What you’ll tackle
- Lead design basis safety analyses for BWR LOCA events
- Review plant drawings/specifications and construct analysis models
- Execute safety calculations using proprietary codes and tools
- Interrogate results and draft high-quality technical reports
- Serve as the primary contact for plant-specific LOCA questions, internally and externally
- Maintain awareness of plant licensing bases and regulatory boundaries
- Evaluate and apply two‑phase flow and heat transfer correlations to inform predictions
- Assess the effects of plant modifications and operating changes on analysis outcomes
Must-haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear, Chemical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering
- 4+ years in the nuclear industry
- 4+ years focused on safety analysis
You should be proficient in: Engineering Degree
Work arrangement
Remote within the U.S. or hybrid in Cranberry Township, PA.
Pay transparency
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $85,200 to $106,500 per year.
