Eastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking a Data Engineer with strong SQL and data management expertise to join a growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys problem-solving with imperfect datasets, and is passionate about generating actionable insights to drive business strategy and improve consumer experience.


This is a TEMP opportunity

Schedule: Hybrid, ideally onsite 2 - 3x per week

Location: Acton, MA or San Diego, CA

Pay: $80/$90/hr

Key Responsibilities

  • SQL & Data Management:Write, design, and maintain complex SQL queries and stored procedures within Databricks; merge data from multiple sources to generate rich datasets.
  • Pipeline & Refreshes:Maintain and update monthly pipeline data refreshes, including competitive updates and TAM calculations.
  • Healthcare & Claims Data:Work with claims data, real-world evidence, and product usage data to create robust datasets and analyses.
  • Analytics & Insights:Apply data validation principles to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data while delivering insights that enhance consumer experience.
  • KPI Development:Assist senior managers and directors in defining KPIs and operational metrics tailored to business needs.
  • Visualization & Reporting:Create charts, graphs, dashboards, and reports using Tableau, Databricks Gen AI/BI Genie, Excel, and other tools.
  • Project Management:Manage multiple priorities, track progress, manage timelines, and communicate status to stakeholders.
  • Vendor Relations:Support and manage relationships with external vendors and partners.

Qualifications

Technical Skills:

  • Advanced SQL knowledge, with the ability to design, write, and maintain complex queries.
  • Strong experience with Databricks and database objects.
  • Advanced data processing, profiling, validation, and analytics.
  • Expertise with MS Excel, including pivot tables, data retrieval, and comparison operations.
  • Experience building and maintaining large data pipelines with structured/semi-structured data.
  • Analytical & Communication Skills:
  • Ability to explore, discover, and map data flows for analysis and reporting.
  • Skilled in turning complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, particularly with imperfect or siloed data sets.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with healthcare datasets, including claims and patient-level data.
  • Experience with medical device data—especially in the diabetes space—is preferred.
