The Maintenance Electro-Mechanic is responsible for providing electrical and mechanical services to the production department while participating in the Preventive Maintenance program to ensure equipment is operational. Additionally, the role involves continuous improvement of equipment and processes, exemplifying the company's core values in Health & Safety, People, Quality/Food Safety, and Growth.
Responsibilities
- Install, examine, replace, and repair mechanical and electrical components for equipment and plant systems/fixtures.
- Ensure defects are identified and eliminated, improving asset health.
- Read manuals, blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Department to create and improve Preventive Maintenance plans and schedules.
- Record data actively in the CMMS system.
- Adhere daily to PPE, SOP, HACCP, and Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations.
- Evaluate hazards and describe measures and procedures for achieving a safe work environment in compliance with Environmental and Health and Safety standards.
- Work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced food industry environment.
- Follow directions from the Maintenance Department Group Leader/Leader for daily tasks.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Work a flexible shift schedule, including weekends, to support operational needs during peak and low seasons.
- Operate in a refrigerated cold and/or hot environment.
- Engage in physically strenuous activities as required.
- Handle food allergens and sanitization chemicals.
Essential Skills
- Single or dual licensed Industrial Millwright (433A) and Industrial Electrical (442A).
- Minimum of 3 years industrial millwright experience, preferably in the food or beverage industry with automation.
- Familiarity with electrical and mechanical industrial installations, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Ability to read electrical drawings, manuals, and parts drawings.
- Formal education in PLC logic or automation and troubleshooting.
- Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, with proficiency in using computer CMMS systems.
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Availability for overtime.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in welding and industrial maintenance repair.
- Knowledge of conveyor systems, motors, and electrical maintenance.
- Proficient in using hand tools.

Work Environment
The work environment includes multiple shifts: First Shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (4:00 AM to 2:30 PM on Mondays), Second Shift from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, and Third Shift from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Shift schedules may change weekly and are posted in advance. Team members must be adaptable to working in both cold and hot environments, performing physically strenuous activities, and handling food allergens and sanitization chemicals.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
