Job Title: Senior Project Manager (Healthcare IT / M&A)

Location: Remote (New York-based)
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 6 months

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead complex healthcare IT initiatives, with a strong focus on mergers and acquisitions (M&A). This role will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration of technology environments, maintaining operational stability, and delivering long-term value while adhering to budget and timelines.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with experience managing high-profile, cross-functional projects within a healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive Day 1 readiness plans and Phase II integration roadmaps
  • Assess target organization’s IT infrastructure, cybersecurity posture, and technical debt
  • Identify integration risks, costs, and optimization opportunities
  • Coordinate across IT and business units to align technical integration with organizational goals
  • Define project scope, timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Lead project teams and manage resources across multiple workstreams
  • Monitor progress, track deliverables, and ensure adherence to project plans
  • Manage risks and issues through resolution
  • Produce and present regular project and program status reports
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to project team members and PMO staff
  • Ensure effective communication with stakeholders at all levels

Requirements:

  • 8–10 years of experience in IT Program/Project Management
  • Strong experience in healthcare IT environments (hospital or healthcare systems preferred)
  • Proven experience managing complex, high-visibility projects or programs
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning
  • Proficiency in PM tools (MS Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification (highly preferred)
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Experience in healthcare mergers & acquisitions (M&A)
  • Experience working in Agile environments
