Are you mechanically inclined and looking for a hands-on career in manufacturing? We're seeking a Finishing Line Operator to join our production team. In this role, you'll operate bindery and finishing equipment to produce high-quality printed products while ensuring production, quality, and safety standards are met.
What You'll Do
- Operate high-speed finishing and bindery equipment to complete production orders.
- Set up machines according to job specifications and production requirements.
- Read and interpret job tickets to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Perform finishing operations such as cutting, folding, die cutting, drilling, scoring, padding, and saddle stitching.
- Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot minor issues as they arise.
- Perform routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and preventative maintenance.
- Maintain production goals while ensuring finished products meet quality standards.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and safe.
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet production deadlines.
Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn new equipment quickly.
- Previous bindery, printing, machine operation, or manufacturing experience is a plus but not required.
- Basic math skills, including working with decimals and measurements.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the shift.
