Responsibilities

Prepare comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for commercial flooring projects by analyzing plans, specifications, and site conditions

Utilize estimating software tools such as RFMS

Engage in negotiation with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms

Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to review project scope, schedules, and budget constraints

Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions, gather measurements, and verify project requirements for precise estimating

Monitor project costs throughout the bidding process and during construction to support effective cost control measures

Assist in contract review and management, ensuring all terms align with project goals and company policies
Qualifications

Proven experience in estimating with a focus on commercial flooring or related trades

RFMS knowledge

Strong knowledge of construction management principles, contracts, and project management processes

Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards

Hands-on construction site experience that provides insight into on-the-ground realities affecting estimates

Familiarity with cost control techniques, pricing strategies, and budget management within the construction industry
