Job Details:
\n
• Night shift position with weekend and holiday coverage as needed
\n • 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
\n • 3 orientation shifts of 12 hours each
\n • Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2-3 depending on acuity
\n • 4-bed ICU unit
\n • Charting system: MEDITECH
\n • BSN not required
\n • Scrub color: Navy
\n • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC/TCAR or experience with trauma patient care
\n • Care for patients with diagnoses including DKA, sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac rate and rhythm control, and medical detox
\n • Experience with arterial lines and CVP monitoring required
\n • Required to titrate drips typical to an ICU setting
\n • Required to read and interpret telemetry monitor strips independently
\n • Manage respiratory equipment ranging from nasal cannula to ventilator
\n • No nurse aides or patient care techs on unit
\n • ER charge nurse oversees ICU; no dedicated ICU charge nurse
\n • Floating to Med/Surg or ER (for 1:1 assignments) may be required
\n • Schedule determined by director; no self-scheduling available
\n • Successful candidates should demonstrate coachability, motivation, ability to identify and address unsafe situations, and strong teamwork skills
\n • Facial hair fit testing policy in effect: clinicians must pass fit testing requirements or be able to remove facial hair if unable to pass

This acute care facility is a Critical Access Hospital offering intensive care services with a focused ICU environment. The unit operates under the oversight of emergency room leadership and emphasizes collaborative, team-oriented patient care. The facility utilizes MEDITECH as its charting system and is equipped to handle a variety of complex medical conditions requiring intensive monitoring and intervention.
