Job Description
The Maintenance Coordinator leads the mechanic department to ensure the timely and effective repair, maintenance, and optimization of all cutting and sewing equipment. This role is responsible for minimizing downtime, maintaining equipment reliability, and ensuring that parts and supplies are adequately stocked to support uninterrupted production. The Maintenance Coordinator manages the department through training, communication, and organization, while driving performance toward the facility’s key performance indicators (KPIs). The position provides hands-on technical support and supervision to uphold operational excellence, quality standards, and safety across the facility.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of 10 years working in a manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a management position.
- Preferably proficient and knowledgeable in cutting and sewing machines, including but not limited to:
- Cutting Equipment: Lectra, Gerber, Yi systems
- Sewing Equipment: Single & multi-needle lockstitch, chain stitch, bar-tack, buttonhole, felling machines, irons
- Ongoing training in industrial equipment maintenance and technologies required.
- Must read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Bilingual in Creole and/or Spanish preferred.
