An inpatient pharmacist opportunity is available at a behavioral hospital, offering a 4-8 week contract to cover a leave of absence. This role is based in Williamsburg, VA, with a flexible Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., totaling 40 hours per week. The assignment is set to begin as soon as possible.
Key responsibilities include electronic order verification, pre-packaging medications, and filling Omnicell medication dispensing machines. This position requires a detail-oriented pharmacist to support inpatient behavioral health patients through accurate medication management and collaboration with clinical teams.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Virginia Pharmacist license in good standing
- Prior hospital or inpatient pharmacy experience preferred, though training can be provided for qualified candidates
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols strictly
- Effective communication skills to work within a multidisciplinary team
