Akkodis is seeking a GenAI Application Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Austin, TX. This role requires hands-on experience with Python-based GenAI application development and a strong command of LLM prompt engineering and RAG pipelines.
Rate Range: $45/hour to 46/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
GenAI Application Engineer job responsibilities include:

Design and develop GenAI-powered applications using Python and modern AI frameworks to deliver intelligent, user-centric solutions.

Engineer and optimize prompts for large language models (LLMs) to improve response accuracy and contextual relevance.

Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, integrating data from diverse sources like chat histories and documentation.

Integrate and manage vector databases to enable semantic search and efficient context retrieval.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and DevOps, to ensure scalable and secure AI deployments.

Fine-tune pre-trained LLMs for domain-specific tasks and maintain robust testing, monitoring, and documentation of AI systems.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related technical field; Master’s degree preferred.

Minimum of 5 years in software development, with at least 2 years focused on Generative AI or LLM-based applications.

Hands-on experience with LLM prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and vector database integration for real-world AI solutions.

Proficiency in Python and familiarity with AI/ML libraries such as LangChain, Hugging Face, and cloud-based deployment environments.

Pay Details: $45.00 to $46.00 per hour
