Job DescriptionField Service Hand – Job DescriptionLocation: Odessa, TXWe are seeking a skilled and dependable Field Service Hand to join our team in Odessa. This role focuses on the repair, maintenance, and servicing of valves and related equipment used in oilfield operations. The ideal candidate will bring mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting experience, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic, service, and repair work on valves and valve components used in oilfield production and drilling equipment.
  • Assist with the installation, testing, and maintenance of valves and flow-control systems at customer sites.
  • Utilize service and parts support programs to track repairs, parts usage, and maintenance schedules.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed service reports documenting tasks performed, including valve testing results and parts replaced.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and pneumatic issues with valves and associated oilfield equipment.
  • Maintain company hand tools and pneumatic tools used for valve repair and testing.
  • Operate company vehicles responsibly while maintaining a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, industry standards, and company procedures to ensure safe valve handling and field operations.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
  • Work independently or under the direction of a crew chief, field operations coordinator, or shop supervisor as required.
  • Participate in company-provided training programs to expand valve repair and maintenance knowledge.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with valve repair, testing, and maintenance in the oilfield (preferred).
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency for service reporting and parts programs.
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
