Desktop Support Technician – Healthcare Contract (Mitchell, SD)
Available Roles: 3
Location: Mitchell, SD
Rate: $25/hour plus benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, 401K
Start Date: 1/30/26
End Date: 5/29/26

Must be local to Mitchell, SD or surrounding areas – Fully Onsite

Operating Area - Locations within a 50 Mile radius of Mitchell, SD
Schedule: 40 hours/week M - F (8am- 5pm)
Onboarding Requirements: Drug Test, Background Check - No Cost
Required Experience

• Desktop Technician or equivalent IT support experience
• Troubleshooting skills with Windows-based devices
• Comfort working in healthcare environments
• Ability to follow structured test scripts and document results clearly

Preferred (Not Required):

• Prior Epic, healthcare IT, or hospital IT experience

Key Responsibilities

Technicians will be responsible for:

• Testing and validating end-user devices in preparation for Epic go-live, including:
• Workstations
• Thin clients
• Printers
• Barcode scanners
• E-signature pads
• Other clinical peripherals integrated with Epic
• Executing Epic test scripts and validating device performance within Epic module

Ensuring:

• Printers are correctly mapped to workstations
• Printing queues are properly created and functional
• Peripheral devices operate as expected
• Reviewing, creating, and modifying Excel worksheets related to device tracking and testing results
• Documenting failed devices with clear, detailed notes using Epic outputs and test results to support efficient troubleshooting
• Identifying expected results from test scripts and accurately recording any failures
