LHH is partnering with our client to hire an IT Systems Support Technician to provide professional phone, email, and onsite support for internal users. You’ll own tickets end-to-end—intake, diagnosis, documentation, updates, and resolution—while supporting endpoints, printers, basic networking, and imaging. This contract role is onsite in Portland, OR for 6–8 months.
What you’ll do

Support day-to-day business operations and deliver first-class customer service resolving IT issues.

Assess user needs, diagnose with online tools, research/triage, and drive issues to accurate resolution.

Log and manage requests in the ticketing system; retain ownership and provide frequent updates.

Provide hands-on support for Windows 7/10, Office 2016/O365, common browsers, file shares, VPN/Remote Access, Wi-Fi/LAN TCP/IP, and Dell/HP/IBM laptops/desktops.

Support printers/peripherals (Xerox/Ricoh/HP) and mobile devices (e.g., Samsung/smartphones).

Image and deploy computers using WDS (and related tools); perform hardware upgrades/replacements.

Troubleshoot corporate/branch network issues involving Cisco LAN/Wi-Fi, Cisco Meraki firewalls, and public/private WAN providers.

Use Windows tools (event logs, registry, performance monitoring, command line) for deeper diagnostics.

Assist with Active Directory (user accounts and password updates).

Contribute to the team’s knowledge base/technical resource library.
What you’ll bring
-
2+ years of deskside and/or remote technical support experience.

Proven ticket ownership and customer-facing communication skills.

Hands-on experience with Windows 7/10, Office 2016/O365, VPN/Remote Access, printers/peripherals, and imaging via WDS.

Basic network troubleshooting across Wi-Fi/LAN TCP/IP; exposure to Cisco/Meraki environments.

Familiarity with Active Directory user administration (accounts/passwords).
Nice to have

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering (or equivalent experience).

Certifications such as ITIL Foundations, HDI (CSR/SCA/DST), MCDST, MOS, CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+.
Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.88 per hour
