Oxford Solutions is working with a client to hire a Commercial Millwork Estimator for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is focused on preparing accurate bids for commercial millwork projects while working closely with contractors, vendors, and internal teams.
Responsibilities:
- Review drawings and specifications to understand project scope
- Prepare takeoffs and cost estimates for millwork components
- Gather and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
- Identify scope gaps, risks, and cost considerations
- Support bid submissions and project handoff to internal teams
- Build and maintain relationships with contractors, vendors, and partners
Qualifications:
- 3-7 years of estimating experience in millwork, woodworking, or construction
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings
- Knowledge of millwork materials and fabrication processes
- Experience working with general contractors or subcontractors
- Proficiency with estimating tools (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar) and Excel
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Preferred:
- Experience on commercial projects
- Familiarity with industry standards (AWI)
- Related degree or technical training
