Job Description

As a Security Professional - Armed Patrol Federal Site in Homestead, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment within a government location. In this position, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism and integrity. This is an armed position, requiring you to carry out your duties with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and/or incidents.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate authorities and/or management.
  • Assist in access control duties, monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential security-related issues within the location.
  • Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly as per site protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have 3 or more years combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
