Tarsco Bolted Tank is leading the industry in engineering, manufacturing and construction of liquid and dry bolted storage tank systems. We design and manufacture to national and international standards and have extensive experience in all environments and climates worldwide. Our expertise and available resources allow us to execute a wide range of projects in both size and complexity, tackling the unique challenges our customers face.
Tarsco Bolted Tank is seeking to add a dynamic Estimator to our team! This position is an in-office position located at 5897 State Highway 59 in Goodman, MO. The primary office hours are 10 hour shifts Monday-Thursday with daily overtime and additional days as required to support the business needs.
Job Summary:
The Estimator will play a crucial role in supporting our estimating department by assisting with various administrative tasks related to the estimating process. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Initial Verification and Setup of Requests For Quote (RFQ): Responsible for setting up RFQs in the quote system and validating all relevant information required for bidding a project.
· Design Tank Per Size Specifications: Utilize Excel to design tanks according to size specifications and ensure compliance with minimum code requirements.
· Interface with Sales and Estimating Team: Serve as an effective communicator, interfacing daily with the sales and estimating team to ensure accurate and timely project bids.
· Review Bid Specifications: Read through bid specifications, extract relevant information, and convey the full scope of work in the RFQ.
· Coordinate Bid Preparation: Coordinate with team members to ensure customers are provided with quotes in a timely manner.
· File Estimating Documents: Organize and file all project documents in the correct folders on the server.
· Lead Bid Preparation Meetings: Set up and lead internal bid preparation meetings with department heads for projects that are high risk, high dollar, or have stringent commercial or technical requirements.
· Assist with Quote Prioritization: Assist estimating with queue prioritization to ensure efficient workflow.
Other duties assigned as needed to support the business.

· CRM experience
· Experience analyzing dry storage silo systems with ancillary equipment
Education and/or Experience:
· High School Diploma or GED required
· Associate or Bachelor degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, Project Management or related field preferred
· 2+ years of estimating, proposal development, project coordination or related industry experience
· Experience in tanks, structural steel, coatings, industrial construction, manufacturing, fabrication or related industry experience
Required Skills:
· Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, contracts and customer requirements
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong organizational and project coordination abilities
· Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously
· Experience with ERP systems, CRM platforms, proposal management tools and Microsoft 365 applications preferred
· Strong business acumen with the ability to balance customer requirements, operational capabilities and profitability objectives
· Constant internal contact with management and employees at all levels of the organization
· Frequent external contact with sub-contractors and other vendors
Other Requirements:
· Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in an office environment which includes sitting up to 10 hours per day and utilizing stairs
· Ability to work overtime as need to support business needs
· Ability to visually review technical documents, specifications, schedules and drawings
· Ability to occasionally enter production facility and adhere to all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements to include but not limited to steel toed shoes, hearing protection, hardhat, safety glasses, etc.
