Position Overview
We are seeking reliable and safety-focused Truck Drivers to support operations at a refuse-derived fuel (RDF) processing facility. This position is responsible for operating plant vehicles to transport waste materials, relocate trailers, and move recyclable metals while maintaining compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
· Operate tractor-type trucks to transport waste, trailers, and recyclable materials within the facility.
· Relocate trailers as needed to support plant operations.
· Ensure all loads are properly secured, cleaned, and tarped before leaving the loadout area.
· Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required inspection logs.
· Report equipment defects and maintenance needs promptly.
· Monitor and maintain proper fuel, oil, and lubricant levels.
· Communicate continuously with the Process Control Operator regarding vehicle movements.
· Follow all plant safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements.
· Complete trip tickets, daily logs, and operational reports accurately.
· Maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicles and work areas.
· Perform additional duties assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Valid CDL Class A License and current DOT Certification.
· Clean driving record with:
o No DUI/DWI convictions.
o No more than 9 points on the Motor Vehicle Record within the past 36 months.
· Strong communication skills.
· Ability to safely operate heavy vehicles in an industrial environment.
· Must successfully complete required driving demonstrations and written/oral evaluations.
