Job DescriptionOur client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be an essential part of the Maintenance Department supporting the plant operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Brook Park, OH
Pay Range: $27.50/hr. plus $.50/hr. diff.
Shift: 4th shift 6:00 am to 4:30 pm Thu-Sun

What's the Job?

  • Install and troubleshoot industrial machine control systems including 3-wire and PLC controls.
  • Install, repair, and diagnose both AC & DC motors, single and three-phase power systems up to 480 volts.
  • Maintain mechanical power transmission drives and related systems such as gearboxes, chains, sprockets, belts, and pulleys, as well as pneumatic equipment like compressors, blowers, and valves.
  • Support general facility plumbing, carpentry work, and the plant’s preventive maintenance system.
  • Assist with the setup, change-over, and disassembly of breader mills, scalper, and sifter equipment, along with unloading bulk rail materials and ensuring proper hook-up of bulk-material trucks.

What's Needed?

  • Experience in installing and troubleshooting industrial control systems, including PLC controls.
  • Ability to repair and diagnose AC & DC motors and power systems up to 480 volts.
  • Knowledge of mechanical power transmission systems and pneumatic equipment.
  • Proficiency in handling basic hand and power tools, test equipment, and operating a forklift.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds and operate a forklift safely.
